Welcome to the first blog post of Act with Power. You may wonder why a tree is at the center of this Blog. Think of the many different ways that trees have been referred to over the centuries and across cultures: Tree of Life, Tree of Wisdom, Tree of Knowledge, Tree of God, Tree of Immortality, Tree of Heaven, Tree of Plenty, Money Tree, Tree of Temptation. The metaphors that can be associated with trees are unlimited, just like our personal power is unlimited.

I personally like to think of a tree as something majestic that has grown from something very small and simple. When you look at a tiny acorn, do you see its potential to become a beautiful, massive oak tree? A tree is deeply grounded by its roots, while it reaches for the sky with its many branches and no visible limits. Trees are also gathering places to form friendships, to teach and learn, and to renew ourselves in their cool shade. Think of this Blog as a Tree of Power. It is a place to receive and share knowledge, wisdom, inspiration, empowerment, and encouragement to follow your dreams. With that I would like to end as I began, with a quote. . .

The greatest achievement is at first and for some time a dream. The oak sleeps in the acorn, the bird waits in the egg, and in the highest vision of the soul a waking angel stirs. Dreams are the seedlings of reality. James Allen (New Zealand, 1855-1942)
